Husky Book Bundle

ACCESS, CONVENIENCE, AFFORDABILITY

The Program

Ever wish for an easier, more affordable way to gather your course materials at the start of the semester? UConn's Husky Book Bundle gives full-time undergraduate students access to all required textbooks, lab manuals, access codes and electronic book versions in a convenient bundle before the first day of class—in most cases, at discounted prices.

Through a partnership with Barnes & Noble, Husky Book Bundle allows students to receive required course materials for all classes for a flat fee, regardless of how much each individual textbook or digital access would cost to rent or purchase separately.

Instead of purchasing materials a la carte, the rental cost is applied to the student’s account at the same time tuition is charged. The UConn bookstore provides each student with a convenient package for physical books, and digital materials are automatically populated to students’ courses in HuskyCT.

Reduce the cost of traditional textbooks by up to 50% with Husky Book Bundle!

The Husky Book Bundle program is a course material model that ensures undergraduate students have all their materials across all courses prior to the first day of class and reduces the cost of materials. Instead of purchasing materials a la carte, all full-time undergraduate students will receive their required course materials for a rental fee of $285 per semester, added to their University Fee Bill.

The bookstore will provide each student with a convenient package for physical books and digital materials will be delivered directly to HuskyCT.

How does the Husky Book Bundle benefit students?

How does the Bookstore ensure that students are getting their required course materials?

Approximately one month before classes start, students will receive an email instructing them to select their fulfillment preference (in-store pickup or shipped directly). An email notification will be sent when the students order is ready for pickup or when it ships, and digital materials will be delivered for course(s) within HuskyCT.

Will faculty have to change their course materials currently being used?

No, there are no restrictions in the course materials you select for your course. All course materials, from any publisher, in your preferred format are included in the program.

Why not work directly with publishers?

Publishers do not have the ability to provide all the different formats of content that faculty request at the lowest price possible.

How can we be sure that this will lower book costs for our students?

BNC is committed to lowering the costs of course materials to our students, and with their integrated supply chain and economies of scale, the Husky Book Bundle program is a new and innovative way to provide the most affordable solutions for our students.

The bookstore is committed to helping as they normally do in those situations, working with you to update the textbook adoption platform with the new materials.

What happens if a student drops/adds a course?
